How do I export citations?

To save a reference to Endnote or other citation manager (e.g., Bibdesk), click on the ... in the lower left-hand corner of the result you want and select "send to Endnote." This will download the citation to your computer as a .ris file. (The seven- or eight-digit number is the article's pubmed identification number, or PMID.) Then:

Endnote users

Choose File > Import..., and under Import Options, choose Other Filters..., and then PubMed (NLM).enf. You only have to do this once; after that, PubMed (NLM).enf will appear under Import Options. Select the .ris file and hit Import.

Bibdesk users

Drag the .ris file onto your open Bibdesk library, or choose File > Open... and then choose the .ris file.
