Each year, scientists spend more than a quarter billion minutes searching for biomedical literature online. This is time they could better spend curing disease and doing science. Pubget's mission is to give them that time back.
Before Pubget, Ramy spent a lot of time trying to figure out how not to spend a lot of time getting PDFs online. His first efforts were command-line tools he wrote over breaks at Harvard Medical School. Before that he got a DPhil in mathematical biology as a Marshall Scholar at Oxford and an SB in biology from MIT. Since his MD, he has been a pathology resident and a postdoc in genomics and systems biology, all in and around Boston, MA.
Before Pubget, Ian was a developer for Iris, creator of Lotus Notes, which later became part of IBM. During his Lotus-IBM career, he helped develop market-leading enterprise-level tools including Notes Client, Domino Server, QuickPlace, and Sametime, as well as Websphere Portal. Ian has built and fixed products on four continents for Lotus-IBM and two continents (so far!) for Pubget. He holds degrees in physics and law (LLB). He is also CTO of ProjectLounge.com in Somerville, MA.
